Piano Lessons
Piano lessons empower students to explore a vast array of musical styles, whether it’s the complex, courtly sounds of Mozart or the flowing backtrack to Adele. Sometimes the most fun songs are also the simplest, and players are often surprised about how soon they can create beautiful music. I love helping students explore their passion for music.
Fundamental elements to our teaching style include:
Intro to Music Theory
All the basics of notes, scales, chords, rhythm, tempo, dynamics, melody, harmony, and form.
How to Read Sheet Music
Reading music empowers students to explore new pieces on their own – critical for a lifelong love of music.
Proper Technique
Correct seating and hand posture will ensure students won’t run into barriers of speed or injury.
Active Listening
Developing the ability to discern notes, harmonies and dissonance is just as important as learning to play.
Practicing Skills
Practicing is fun and fulfilling when you have the right skills to overcome common barriers.
Beginner Piano
Beginner lessons are for students, young or old, who have little or no experience and want to learn the fundamentals of piano and music theory. It’s important to focus on developing healthy habits for both playing and listening that will serve students for a lifetime.
Intermediate Piano
Intermediate lessons are for students who have already completed 3-5 years of lessons and are ready for more challenging repertoire. Students will develop playing techniques to tackle the complicated rhythms and stylistic elements that are common in many recognizable pieces, both classical and modern.
Scheduling information:

Fiddle Lessons
Fiddle lessons offer a joyful dive into the world of folk music, where students can learn tunes passed down through generations. Whether it’s the lively rhythms that make you want to dance or the soulful melodies that tell stories of the past, playing the fiddle is all about connecting with others and having fun. It’s a unique skill that lets players contribute, lead, and make music with one another.
